10 Good Mistakes To Make

Mistakes are often just life's lessons. They happen for a reason. I for example have made thousands of bad ideas on the web. But from them I always get some momentum. Sometimes they are a keyword based site that makes no money. I try different key words till I hit the jack pot. At that point I focus my energies on the properties that do well. Once I know they were meant to be I try to perfect my work a bit. But failed sites that fester away in blog spot land for example can still send a bit of search traffic to some of my social profiles. In this a mistake is promoting me. It is important in that situation to ask myself, do I want people to see this and build an impression of me off of their gut feelings. If the answer is yes than it is important to leave the site up. Here are ten other good mistakes:

1. Thinking so much about promotion and sales funnels that a website gets banned.

2. Failing and social media till one realizes the importance of personal brand, and being social rather than promotional.

3. How content can really carry a site or profile to success. If your my space page does not do well add more interesting pictures for instance. The devil is in the details.

4. Being business minded often prevails. The web is largely a social business environment. From people who are successful on blogs and my space to those that make videos the rules of running a decent business always apply.

5. Interacting with people and developing crucial online social and communication skills. Mistakes here can sometimes be subtle so be very aware of how your treat people. Add extra communication elements like smiles :)

6. Formulate a concise plan. Having one goal is usually best. My favorite goals are to make more with AdSense and affiliate ads, and be more social. Separating the two are key. Because people hate ads!

7. Do not get drawn into failure. There is an allure of the web where people end up sitting on the side lines because they react to negative comments, and the fact that they do not get as many views as a celebrity. Do not be hard on yourself. Build your game over the years. Accept it for what it is worth. Promote your stuff through web page funnels rather than just sticking stuff out and expecting people to flood it. Drive traffic towards pages with hit counters. That is just a thought :)

8. Just because something is successful does not mean that it is your best ever accomplishment. Always try to be bigger and better. Work harder, and play harder.

9. The web is a beautiful and interconnected ecosystem. Link your Twitter to your face book page. Link your blog to your YouTube account. Have fun with the traffic you earn because if you do not give them a place to go they will choose themselves 100 percent of the time.

10. Blogging is key. The reason that there are so many blogs on blogging is that blogging is simply the best way to drive your online business to success. Blogging is not brain er free traffic for people no matter how experienced they are doing it. Then drive that traffic somewhere. Use a blog to bring people to your social profiles. Friend them. Build your relationships. This is what it is all about. The money will come.

To conclude do not get bogged down in mistakes. Rather use the lessons they teach and move on and be more successful in your online businesses!

When Giving Up Is Ok

Even if you draw 100 percent of your income from an Internet business, it is important to not take the online world seriously. As people we need real experiences to drive us fore ward or we can become emotionally stagnant. Growth is necessary and many times people come online as an escape rather than use it as a vehicle. Also we all run into times when our blogging tires. Then it is a good time to find real experiences that inspire us back to the grind stone, instead of using the Internet as inspiration. Blogs or their traffic never totally goes away. Dead social media profiles still get friend requests. The residual nature of the net makes leaving it completely possible. Many times people leave notes, or farewell videos just to communicate what they are doing and how people can reach them. These are common and especially so on certain years when people had been surfing the hype and needed a break. If you remotely think you want to quit now is a good time to take your vacation from the Internet.

You Only Get One Shot At Getting Your Reputation Right

There is a temptation to go out there and shake things up. But just sitting back and being extremely attentive to the people who come to you is key. This is how people fill each blog post with millions of comments. They foster deep relationships with the people who come to them. But if people go out and disengage people, they will be written off as a spammer. Sure there are many trolls and spammers who are born again and do well. But if you want to build a business and have an explosion in followers on social media then it is best to take advantage of the abundance that is handed to you instead of thirsting for the big people and the popular people. Every web celebrity has millions of requests for people who want shout outs from the somebody. But the way to get that is for them to see how well you foster your community however small. This will get you write ups on big blogs. This is where your success will come from. Your ability to play yourself and open up dialogue is everything.

Are You In Business For The Long Haul ?

Sustaining business results can be boring. Whether people turn it up or off is their choice. Realize when your feelings change from excitement that you are getting somewhere. When the basics are all too easy. And we realize that search engines and social media give us necessary info fairly quickly it is up to us to act. Often social media snowballs. We gain a bigger network naturally after awhile. Thus the auto pilot mode is set and we must be at the computer unless we know of some decent automation. On Twitter for instance we could take a trip and mobile update it a few time a day. We could update that blog once a day. And all in all everything could be done at a minimal and still build an online business. That is how technology makes life a bit easier. We need not always struggle for results when they can come to us. Make that happen.

Social Media Engagement Tells A Lot About A Person

Many people who survived the first online wave do not embrace social media to the extent that many of us have. They often made much money on the webs but have few fans or followers on their channels. Many people may question their relevance these days. I am not saying that they must do a lot in this media, but responding to people is a start.

Secondly I think these people need to immerse themselves in this new content. For example it may be tough to respond to all of their fans but producing a new media content piece a day in different sites is a good start. For example on Monday put out a YouTube video. On Tuesday do a few tweets. On Wednesday put a few pictures on Flickr. On Thursday do a blog for Facebook. On Friday do a live chat on Stickam. On Saturday connect with a few new people on Myspace. We are in a generation of initiative. People are starting to have the ability to pick out anti social web behaviors and avoid those people like the plague. Do not fall into those anti social patterns. Be open to the change and the many more that greet us every day.

Thirdly restructure your brand. The hard sell on your book deal kits may not be the best conversion. Rather a few extra friends on my space or face book may better serve you. This is more of a mathematical truth every day. Do you blog? You may want to start posting daily to build up an easy source of traffic that is easily spun into revenue and friends.

Determine a new set of goals. Things like getting more hits on YouTube, more friends on face book, and more twitter followers are the new currency of gaining influence in the online social sphere. Your immediate friends and fans do not count anymore. Do you have the ability to reach and communicate around the globe? Do you have the ability at one click to organize your entire local community around something? If you can not effectively do these things than you need to seriously get into social media and blogging asap. Time spend on these things producing quality content and deep interactions with other people is time well spent. If you do not spend this time then you will not make much money in the future.

How Will You Package That

Recently when buying soap I took notice to packaging. The brand I usually get split the package color between purple and white. Obviously the white symbolizes youth while the purple is a color for visual attraction taken from the red in the mix. While the hint of blue in the color purple is like the cool feeling that the soap leaves. In effect this bottle used descriptive colors. As we all know the game of the Internet is that of description. Leave a precise description on a YouTube video and people can make sense of it. Appropriately decorate your sites and people can live within its communication. Nod to your individuality as a person and people can appreciate it. I believe that packaging of your online goods and services and this includes your profiles and sites, must all be tailored to an idea or meaning. This anchor is what great marketing is built upon. Without meaning through packaging you have nothing. And your content is a large part of that packaging.

When You Do Anything Online, You Are Really Positioning Your Name

There is something very subtle about doing stuff online. Like I submit an article to Digg. Ten people view this article. One person diggs it. By the account of most SEO, and marketing gurus my campaign is an abysmal failure. But ten people saw what I did. They noted my name which is Joe Gelb. The make a general assessment of my work. And we all move on. One year later. I am still submitting articles to Digg. This time 20 people view the article. 2 people digg it. In effect I doubled my brand power. Afterall the two people who clicked the article also display that in their profile awhile. Let us say that I am a newbie and for that year I submitted 500 articles to digg. I gained a thousand profile views. This is not exceptional but it is also doing well. So now lets jump to 5 years later. We now submit an article to Digg. Our inner circle of core friends and followers diggs it 100 times consistently. This is in no way a feat in itself but sets up a viral effect for any considerably good content. Now fast foreward 10 years from our origional first year of using digg. We now consistently get 1000 diggs per submission. Being a power user now brings considerable profit and brand holding power. Now in reality if we use social media cross promotions, and sales funnels as I have been talking about the sky is the limit. But always remember to build your reputation one person at a time, or this scenerio is physically impossible.

Why Should People Drive Traffic To One Page

If you have many videos on YouTube for instance it may be important to drive traffic to one video. Do this with a hyper link placed in all of the other videos pointing to this magic video. We can all see that this would drive up traffic for that one video. The more traffic, the more viral the video gets, the more attention its gets. People will see the video trending on the main page of youtube. This will create a traffic rush. There is a strong compounding feedback loop. But basically this is the video that is going to make you go big. This is the video that is going to help you deposit contacts and conversions into your bank. The same thing can be done with blogs, social media pages or whatever. That is the basic currency of marketing my friends. Succeeding through strategic strategy rather than desperation.

Lead In Advertising In Online Videos

If you make videos online on sites like YouTube you may want to consider cold calling generic or targeted advertisers. Basically in the beginning of your video there would be an ad and your voice talking about the product. You would get paid by impression, a flat fee or some other way. Getting advertisers to sponsor your online activity is a crucial step in making some easy money. To attract advertisers it is important that many people regularly watch your videos. It is also important that they are fairly consistent topically and appropriately matched to advertisers. Tell me your experience with online advertisers.

Focusing Your Goal For More Money Earned In Marketing

Often having a goal like funneling traffic to a blog for example is too broad. A smarter goal would be to drive traffic to an individual blog post. Preferably this would be a good one. It may have a video on it for instance. Because the link structure points to it, the search engines will like it too. You may even be able to have a disguised link to some kind of conversion like your My space page. This way you can set some real and tangible goals, that in the long run will bring money into your business. Cheers.

The Easiest Conversion On The Internet

Many people struggle with online success. Often they are very successful at doing the wrong things. But a very purposeful conversion in the YouTube video hit. Basically you create your sales funnel of promotional hyperlinked bits around the net back to one video. Once the video loads and starts playing you get a hit. The hits and decent content are ultimately what determines your ability to enter the YouTube partner program to make money. If you can't get in you can still capitalize on the ability of a popular video to fore ward you brand to many people ultimately building the success of you and your business. Try this if you have tried it all and failed.

Staffing An Internet Business

Hiring decent people to help you with an internet business is about as hard as adjusting pay. There are many ways to go about both. Here is a list:

1. The auction system - Basically the you or the people you hire try to set a price. You negociate a bit until a compromise or winner is reached. Then you move foreward.

2. The set pay to industry standards - Basically you look up the average pay for the job, adjust for factors and that is what you stick with.

3. Pay minimum wage - This is a popular bar of businesses looking to save a buck. Afterall there is always someone who needs work.

4. Start low and increase at percentages based on ammount of stuff done and performance.

5. Do not pay them. Rather pay them in experience, recomendations, links, and other forms of non monetary currency.

6. Pay them an above average salary to attract competition for the position.

7. Have them pay you. For example you could run a small school that teaches programming. Then the advanced students or graduates are obligated to work on your online businesses.

8. Some kind of barter deal.

The list goes on but this is a good starting point. I could go through the pros and cons in this list but the most important take away point that is self evident: 'How you pay and treat people has a huge impact on your business, brand, and ultimately how the public percieves you.' Getting rave reviews from people you hire and your customer is key. People who work for someone that they love will naturally talk about it. The can bring your business to many people by word of mouth and with their online friends. So in some sense who you hire is integral with how you want to market and project your business.

Emotion Drives Viral YouTube Content To Many People By Design

Many people want more viral content online. But if the content is decent and you are posting it how viral do you really want it? On sites like YouTube for example when people give your video stars, or leave a comment for example their activity shows up on all of their friend's pages. So if someone has many friends and is influential leaves a comment they can make a viral splash. People react to videos that drive them on an emotional level. This is why people do well just reacting to common topics that are trending. They may make the video a reaction to another to get the hyper link off of a page that is getting hot page views. Consequently there are many YouTube video views that are community driven. Because of that do you engage the community and get this free publicity and free hits? (Don't forget to hyperlink to your website or landing pages off of your video description. That is key)

The Comeback Of The Personal Blog

Personal blogs in recent years are making a come back. People realized the limitations of purely professional blogs. Bringing themselves into it is a far better driver of traffic and leads to their businesses. Bloggers are now talking about anything that they are interested in. This in turn is something that they try to monetize. For example some bloggers talk about remote control cars, do well with ads that sell these cars. But sometimes interests delineate beyond any marketable commodity. For instance people may have a certain personality trait that they emphasize on their site which serves as a color to add to their brand. Visitors can quickly recognize what the brand is all about. When emotional response comes into play like this there arises the ability to get a lot of traffic. What are your thoughts on the new rise of big name personal bloggers?

Establishing Good Online Relationships

Building online relationships happens in stages and by degrees. There is the first interaction stage. This is where people introduce themselves to one another. Commonly this could be a follow on Twitter, a YouTube comment, or someone dropping by to say hi in a chat room. It can be wise to be slow at this stage. The next stage is building up a repore. Do you share common interests, ideas or whatever. Often people feel out if they really like other people by the ways that they communicate, talk , write, etc. People with different life experiences communicate very differently. For example I have a hard time communicating with more tech savvy people because they have a huge lingo that would take me more than a life time to learn. If you build a repore than you are often considered a friend or family to the person. At this stage you exchange deep goals and other things intrinsically tied to emotion. The good, the bad, and the ugly stuff that we usually hide. Things can get more personal. People in business have to decide where the lines are. But if you socialize to be social and fun than there are less barriers. Communication than can progress to meeting people. At this stage you choose to hang out and do stuff with the people that you meet online. Face to face and phone communication really transform relationships into something physically more tangible and understandable.

Many of these stages may be out of order or missing in your case.

One key of online communication is listening for subliminals. Ask yourself what are they really trying to communicate when they leave that comment. Is it sarcastic? Lukewarm? Or is it genuine? Sometimes people can be playful and unexplicit and it is hard to tell what they are really trying to say. Obviously because of enhanced noise in online communication, things can be tricky and problematic. Unfortunately besides getting better at it by doing it, there is something to be said of taking risks. The old saying goes if you never try to make friends you will never get them. The same thing happens online. People will be less apt to friend you unless you go after people as well. It is also important once you establish an online click of people to network beyond those people that you share a good repore with. In Twitter for example I often communicate with the same people. They are the ones who respond to me the most. Unfortunately I often shelter myself in them, because I know what I say has no consequence. If they do not understand they will readily get to the bottom of it. They will never unfollow me unless something crazy happened. But the risk in not trying to get out into the party is that social media will never reach its potential for us. At the same time always be researching on how to improve written and verbal communication online. Thanks for reading.

Viral Video Embedding Ethics To Think About

Many times when people embed viral videos in their web page they do not have sufficient concerns for the people who made the video. It is important that if people can not click the video and get to its source site and channel,(for example on YouTube) to use a hyperlink to drive some traffic to their stuff. This way your article promotes them. The more promotion the better. The reason for this is that you need to give them the traffic currency. The eyes going to their brand makes most new age Internet people happy. Also it is important to sufficiently add your own content around the video. This extends the media rights further into your site than had you just published their video, and their key words. Some people with videos believe that no one has the right to embed. There is actually a legal basis for this in many places. But at the same time I would like to point out that that is the whole point of viral videos and web content. They are best spread and shared. But always remember to go out of your way to reference the author's pages or you may be extremely disrespectful. That is just my opinion on it. What is yours?

The Future Of Twitter Spam

Twitter has become a social media website that truly connects people from various spaces on the Internet. The pivotal nature of the commons of Twitter has resulted in considerable informational power. Unfortunately many people misunderstand how to use Twitter power for their business. The free traffic is an obvious consequence of Twitter. Now people can fill their blog with global traffic and build up amazing cluster maps. Only sites like Face book, and YouTube previously afforded this kind of attention. Twitter hype is now settling, but the question remains, how substantiated is our spot in the hierarchy? To be more precise twitter does not work by that law. The reason is that who we follow, and how we interact with them is crucial. Being followed by a million spammers for example would be wielding a zero percent Twitter global influence. On the other hand actively engaging just a few interesting people is a huge social proof that few people really have. Because of this many people have now mass unfollowed spammers, and people irrelevant to their conversation and content sharing direction. Because of this many publications from the Times, Tech Crunch, and Mashable have all implied the significance of how many unreciprocated followers we have. For example Ashton Kutcher follows only a few hundred people, while he is followed by many millions and accelerating. Many publications have correctly pointed out that this is largely because Twitter has been promoting Ashton. For example when people join Twitter he is recommended as a follow. Also the hype from Ashton follower trail has created a gigantic sales funnel. His celebrity status, TV time and PR stunts have gathered up masses of people. But fundamentally Ashton had accomplished a great deal of fame and business success in very visible industries related to entertainment and products. For me on the other hand I follow every one who follows me. The whole signal that I am after is that fact that I am here to network and get to know people. Using Twitter and social media for me is about getting ahead so I adjust the tool accordingly. People who follow me understand this, and how I am fundamentally different than Ashton in how I use the tool called Twitter. But I do firmly believe that no matter how famous Ashton can get there could possibly be a stronger promotional funnel in theory. This would have to be from a person who either A is the best Internet marketer ever, or B gains notoriety some way. Ultimately the stamp of making it on Twitter is manifested in the numbers, the followers, how people use the tool, and many other clues as well. People pick up on the trail and for example will unfollow a person who does not reply to people, or posts spammy links and quotes. We all know who those people are. Unfortunately with the inception of countless Twitter automation devices, programs, and 3rd party sites people can pretty much set up ghost Twitter accounts around any name or form they want. For example people do fun things and try to gain many followers. Notoriety is often gained by coming up with creative brands, or impersonation of celeb accounts. Many marketers advocate doing this because it is just realizing a market. Often their are legal inroads not to mention the fact that people have little time to dissolve their imitators. Twitter has fought back with verified accounts. This allows the users to know who really is Ashton Kutcher and not the many fake ones that rise and fall every day. This contrasts markedly with other social sites where the distinction is not too clear. But the spam still is alive and well on Twitter. There are several spam categories:

1. The expert spammer that walks away with much money from working all of the parts of Twitter.

2. The novice Twitter spammer who does not make much money but annoys many people.

We have to be careful with what is considered spam. The social web has sped up. Twitter went from a site where people posted just a few times a day, to a rapid fire spur of the moment shout blasts. In the matrix of how many people an active user follows determines their perceptions of the Tweets of the people they follow. For example I tweet a lot so I get unfollowed by people who are not used to the load and often hang with people that only Tweet promotional and essential material. On the other hand Twitter head marketers who Tweet hundreds of thousands of Time a year may unfollow me because they only appreciate people immersed in the tool at their level. As a result Twitter spam is as much perceptual as it is real. For example I may follow and unfollow a person by accident many times. From my perspective it may have seemed in good faith. But if I do get blocked then besides maybe just a forceful social no it is also an indication that I crossed the line on Twitter. Because of this many marketers advocated not following anyone and letting people come to you. The only problem with this model is that being fore ward and social is the best way to get the ball rolling online. Obviously Twitter spam has malicious qualities. This could be as simple as useless information, deceptive links, malicious computer damaging bugs, online warfare, emotional abuse, or anything else bad. Spammers are more covert now. Many realize the futility of the Follower Train mentality. After all they lost an account or two just from following as many people as possible. As a result they just reply to you using the @ and saying stuff like check out this linking to such and such that does this or that. Spammers also direct message people because of the insanely high conversion rates associated with online mail especially with Twitter engagement. Spammers are evolving with Twitter itself and the people that get annoyed by them. I suspect spam will be here for awhile. Tell me your thoughts on Twitter spam.

30,000 Residual Youtube Traffic Hits In 3 Years

I have a YouTube channel that is relatively unknown. But it does average ten to twenty thousand video views a year. So basically if I stuck links in which I do that would be about 1 to five thousand click throughs ( CTR ) a year depending. This is just an amazing residual traffic mechanism for such an average channel. My whole illustration is why wait for Google to place your site when you can socially promote your properties and products in an instant. Video is a great starting place! Gimme your thoughts then head on over to YouTube and start making videos.

Online Business Road Maps That Actually Work

It seems a common theme that people can produce excellent content online but they have trouble getting things to spin. Part of this is due to content saturation. No matter how good the stuff you do, there are probably quite a few equals out there. Another part has to do with understanding how revenue and social capital online are driven. For example many people use social media to display their talents, rather than engage and build community. Thirdly people do not appreciate the amount of work that goes into creating viral content.

Lets start at the surface. How you use hyper links drives your Eco system. Let's say you blog. It may be a good idea to go through your blog once a week and pick up an old article that you can link to off of your front page. This keeps people engaged in your blogs content. This also shows that you deeply incorporate the material. Also link off your blog to social media. This drives essentially free and virtually limitless search traffic to social media where people can find and engage you. Do not forget to always have a good landing pad. You should give indications that you are open to other people like:

1. Having public profiles

2. Use your real name and image

3. Have contact info like your phone numbers email and anything else

4. Put in writing your desire to be followed or made a friend (words like networking for example work well)

5. Having indications of social cred like comments and the hit number game

6. Having a strong recognizable personal brand

7. Regularly producing some type of fresh content. Though this is not essential it does indicate life in your business and brand.

8. Community collaboration like featuring other users in your video for example

9. Using all social media for your business

10. Producing a lot of blog and multi media content

Basically the old rules of just make it and they will come are not completely true, unless you are exceptional. Even if you are adhering to the creation of online sales funnels, self promotional content, and branding will substantially improve your likelihood of business success. Cheers to being self employed!

Businesses Do Not Really Have A Deffinite Beginning Or Ending

This is an important concept especially since we are now seeing countless online and offline companies closing shop. If you are stricken by the economic storm it is important to reassess your vital skills and life goals and see if you can re enter the business world and build a different brand. Loosing your job, your website or business is not the ending but a new beginning. Imagine you are stepping into a new and exciting world. What are you going to do? The first thing would be to rewrite the rules. Geering a business towards your values is key. Do you want your business to make money, be a lasting brand, or somehow save the community? Do you want to gain recognition, and access to elite circles of people or do you just want to deliver a higher valued product?

First you are going to have to draw up a practical plan. Who will you talk to? What resources do you need to gather? What needs to get done?

Secondly you need to execute. How can you work diligently towards your business goals? How can you improve apon your models and working business systems?

Thirdly you need to reasses your business from the bottom up, the top down, and side to side. What needs changing? What can you do to save money? What could you add to your business.

To conclude if you are in the world of business, what ever stage you are in, does not really dictate a concrete course of action. Rather there exists these options for a reason. Please comment.

Pushing Viral Content In Video Format

For sustained success online winning in the viral video format is huge. On YouTube it is not that difficult to drive a substantial amount of traffic to anything via a hyperlink. So why do more people not do this? The reason is that people fail to grasp the sum of the parts formula. If you have a thousand videos that get a thousand hits a piece than the total amount of traffic is 1000X1000-repeated channel traffic= a decent prediction. I am not going to bother doing the math but we deal with huge numbers when dealing with this.

Videos that get the numbers play off topics and generally have a long tail. There are timeless instructional videos and day to day media and news videos. There are issues with general coverage unless a video is topically rooted. Setting a video firm in a search engine ensures a constant stream of traffic virtually forever, until the format goes obsolete or interest in the video dies.

Some videos go viral more on people trading them. Comedy videos often fall into this category if they are not specific and are just people doing stuff. There is a bit more of a diminishing return for these types of videos.

Then some videos are a bit of both. They are viral and search engines like them. This is an ideal situation to be in.

Just remember you need not much traffic to get your brand out. Do not wait till you get something that will allow you to totally dominate. Rather get your stuff out there. You will do better than had you not.

Why It Is Best To Just Use Many Different Social Media Sites In Addition To Blogging

The classic wisdom goes spread the love. If you are a blogger, do some social media or if you do Myspace check out Twitter. There have been recent questions as to the relative safety of word press the worlds most popular blogging medium of pro bloggers. This is just a major problem of the net. People can mess with it. They can steal your domains. They can hack your blogs. They can flag your social profiles and get them deleted. The net as a tool is more powerful than using the net as an ends in itself. This is the most apparent business lesson ever. Even the tech folk bring something off line on. It is the bloggers who are hit the worse. They depend on some type, hyper text, and media in a strange looking space ship to carry them consistently into the sunset. If you do not use the net as a tool, think of sales funnels, marketing, branding, relationship building, among other things you will just get burned and sad. So it is time to make more made for AdSense sites and not take the medium so seriously. Get your money from streams all over the place. Just imagine a billion tiny creeks of water draining into the lake of your money pot. Woot what do you think?

What They Say Is Meaningless, Debunking Social Media Myths One At A Time

1. There is much talk among people about being in with the tech adaptors. What does this mean? Just follow and friend the people with the most money and social capital? Are those people and what they say really that valuable to business? The answer is probably not beyond a general educational level but the myth still perpetuates that the influencers on Twitter or Facebook are where it is at. I believe this is a myth.

The most important people to friend are actually ordinary people, because they have a bigger and wider sphere of influence among more real friends.

2. Secondly social media is revolutionizing communication. This is false. Social media is just a good and new communication medium. People are communicating the same stuff in a new language. The same principles always apply. Be good. Be polite. Be helpful.

3. It is essential for a business to be in social media. Most businesses leave a footprint from what others generate. Because of this it is not essential for a business to be online at all. On the other hand if a business wants to weild a useful tool for promotion, and the building of social stripes than have at it.

4. Fourthly deep relationships matter. This is false. There is a disconnect between dealing a product or service and being social on the net. People can be more social than a butter fly but if their product is horrible they will loose anyways.

5. A major part of the online revolution is merely bringing content to life and not bringing life to the content. Think about that then leave a comment.

10 Ways To Explosively Grow Your Blog

It is easy to get blog traffic, but explosive and sustained blog growth is even more of a challenge. When you get this growth, you will find a general propensity to be more successful online. Some of the good results include an increase in blog comments and reader interaction, you will gain authority in your niche, and your ability to influence the blogosphere will increase. Here are some of the best blog tips that I have ever heard from people in forums:

1. Hyperlink to your blog, and its wonderful posts in social media. This can include places like the description of YouTube videos, in your actual profile and many other places. Be sure not to spam this, but having people discover your blog is a major part of building up online attraction.

2. Put yourself out there. Be yourself in your blog. But also bring that talent that we know you have. Many people are reluctant to let loose online because there is a lot of negativity. I say just do it. And do it well.

3. Search engines and social media are trend based mechanisms. It may help to cover major media trends in your blog. For many bloggers they even will have a post a week on popular Twitter threads or hash tags and what they did and learned from it. People like this type of stuff.

4. Create a good volume of content. Videos, keywords, words, phrases, and frequent trend surfing are all your friends. Most people if they just stuck with posting every day or every so often eventually say six years down the line would be sitting pretty well blog traffic wise.

5. Discover new blogs, and socially participate on them. The goal is not to seed the traffic of other blogs, but rather bring meaningful conversation to their site. This usually should bring the author to your site. As a result there will be a social media affect across blogs which can build buzz. Not to mention the comments are good for seo.

6. Mention celebrities. Celebs are the most tried and true traffic drivers that I know of. People really love articles about them.

7. Vlogging, live radio, podcast type of content is becomming very much the norm. These things will help your blog game very much. It is always important to extent what you do into powerful media forms.

8. Get a decent short winded domain. There are too many bad domains with great content. These bloggers unknowingly hurt themself. The branding, seo, and viral potential of a blog starts with a catchy name and domain that can be passed and remembered.

9. Try not to destroy your reputation. Do what ever it takes to maintain a great reputation. Even if this costs you initial readers because you could not publish some negative story, you will win in the long run.

10. Marketing, brand building, sales funnels, and promotional paths are key in the blogging game. A blog is really a business. Treat it like that. There is no suprise that professionals have embraced blogging more than most people. The reason is that blogs are in essence made for getting ahead in life. They give all people some kind of chance.

That concludes my list on how to capture the juicy blog traffic. Hopefully later I can talk about conversions. But whatever. Tell me what you think? How do you drive traffic to your blogs?

Materialism Is The Root Of All Evil

Materialism is commonly shown to be a powerful force in uprooting people's ability to see the world and their lives for what it should be. People often identify themselves with what they have, do, or have achieved. Unfortunately this is a weak foundation to build a life with. After all what if we were to loose everything tomorrow. The question is would we have the ability to pick up, go somewhere else and start over? Or would we be trapped because we no longer feel legit? In reality not every person looses everything but most people have obstacles, drama, and tragedy in their life. These are things mostly unavoidable. We can do the things we want. Live frugally. Make choices that get momentum to get us from A to B instead of being trapped by dogma, the cards, or fait. Most people can agree that things do not exactly work that way. After all many people have issues in life but how we deal with them has a big influence on our returns and the value we get in living. Take for example 2 people. One person starts a blog about camping. They do have to post and send in media from the woods but they do get to live outside. Then there is a person in an office working for a boss. Initially that person makes more money but in the long run there may be a shift. Maybe these shifts do not always pan out but there are ways to increase the odds including gaining proficiencies, always expanding and finding new things to drive life foreword and not back to the beginning. What could you do to change your life? How would that make you feel?

Money Is Really Not That Important

There is an unspoken but commonly known rule. Basically if people work specifically for money they end up making none, and working the rest of their life. On the other hand if people work on doing the things they like, going to the places they want to, and being around like minded people, the rest takes care of itself. There is really more than the laws of attraction here. After all, is money really that important to get stressed out over. Probably if you do have to exert yourself, for no real gain you are in the wrong game, just saying. Take a vacation. Move where you want. Drop out of school or enroll in college somewhere. Quit your job. Whatever. Do what it takes, because opportunities are always there, even if they do not exist where you live or with the people you associate with. Many people have a big thing about hanging out around town, keeping it real, and true. But most successful people are always out trying new things. Going to new places. Meeting new people. What is new and exciting, is always where the money, and lessons are. When things are familiar we start to go into a state of entropy. Basically the energy in our life gets out of balance. Our order and expanding conscience shrinks. Then what? Today is the day to break every habit you have. Today is the day to break every thought that you have. That is it. Tell me you thoughts.

How Is Your Business Really Going To Make Any Money

Not using advertising in a blog is a good thing. Often the profit margin is not as big as it once was so people take the ads off until the site gets the necessary links and traffic. Not having ads can be especially critical if your blog serves a traffic purpose like driving traffic to your YouTube videos that pay you through the shares program. In that case the videos have ads but this keeps adds away from your blog's content or navigation. On the other hand at the end of the day I have abandoned more sites for the simple reason that they do not make much money. Because of this I now make sites online on subjects guaranteed to pay me for my time and energy. What is your opinion on this subject?

The Best Part About Doing Business On The Internet

The Internet is one of the finest places to do business. Why?

1. There are many sources of residual income. So you do not make that much online but if that cash keeps coming in regardless if you are working, you basically eliminated the need to make x amount every year for the rest of your life. That is like buying back hours of time if you have to work for a living.

2. Exponential growth is the norm. Whether it be the growth of your blog, or your favorite legal mlm program, seeing exponential numbers attached to checks in the mail will make any person sing.

3. Time is freed up because you can work online anytime 24 hours a day. This is great for people like myself who are most productive at 3 in the morning and on wards.

4. Solving problems is stimulating.

5. The income is burstable meaning that there is no true cap on what you can make. Google for example is a company that laughs at a billion dollars. A billion Washingtons means nothing in the scheme of what they make! That is just crazy. I want in! I personally do not laugh at a penny. I pick it up and admire its beauty and give it a name! ;-)

6. Doing business on the Internet will teach you how to do business in the real world. There are some overlap skills that are vital to making money in any economy, networking with winners, and just being awesome!

7. Instead of getting you chops busted at work for not being in the know or tech savvy why not create world wide trends. If you blog the world will listen. More ideas have been jacked from http://ibrpro.blogspot.com than any other site on the net. The ideas go to the big sites because they know what a winner I am. (lol)

8. Become the boss. If you do not take initiative to break the chains of societal oppression they will grab you and never let go. You will have looked back and wished you had started an Internet business at my suggestion. The world wants to work you 90 hours a day and not pay you squat. But if you work for yourself you will become the boss when the crazy but beautiful cash comes rolling in from the world!

9. You really have good ideas. More people say every day when they see something made by big daddy corporation 'I could have done that.' I bet you can too. So why not take the reins into your own hands and show us what you got!

10. You really need more time to connect with your friends. Imagine waking up and not feeling tired 7 days a week even after talking all night to your special friend. People who work for a living progressively loose their life. This is bad. Turn the bad to a good and stick to this site. I will tell you some secrets.

11. Show the haters you have direction. There are many people who get a lot of hits on the Internet. But if you are making the cash doing less, they will like you more than they like themselves. That is a fact.

There are many more reasons why we must all start Internet and offline businesses. If you could think of any other reason please leave a comment.

What Do You Think Are The Properties Of A Good Internet Business

The more correct question is what are some goals you want to obtain from your Internet business. Here are some of my thoughts

1. Increase visibility, and brand recognition which will attract better things in life.

2. Magnetic for money. A great business is like an ATM machine that just spews out money with little or no effort.

3. Have qualities of integrity that will preserve the sales cycle instead of exhausting it.

4. Offer exceptional value to the customer.

5. Be extremely informative and enlightening.

6. Have a strong social media presence.

7. Be more than a fad.

8. Look good.

9 Be about the people who built it. Hopefully the customer can see and comprehend their personal brand.

10. Have a mighty find blog and inter web content.

I left many of the elements out that create a good business. The reason is that the web now is about you and interactivity. Just me saying stuff is not enough. Now it is your turn to do your part and contribute to the IBRPRO establishment. Add what you think a better Internet business is all about. What do you do with your business to transform it from great to excellent? What advice could you give to people starting a web business? Any shout outs?

Internet Business Magazine

I am not exactly sure how paper magazines and catalogs are faring these days, but if your online business does publish off line you may still be at an advantage. The question is how can you leverage magazines to help your online business. One way would be to leverage the paper, by sending out your fans free magazines. Maybe you will also try to sell something in them. But really the true goal is to create a buzz around your brand. Also you are reminding your audience that you are a real business and not just a website. The magazine environment can also be translated into people's blogs and contents. After all if the online world wants to really totally overtake the zine industry why not mimic it a bit. Some of the top media sites have a magazine type of theme for easy navigation. So like I could scan the cover page and find some interesting articles related to environment issues, or technology depending on my taste at the moment. Functional design in magazines will continue to influence the web in big ways. While contemplating how to incorporate the magazine world into your online business plan why not go over to Website Magazine and grab some info about building sites. (my favorite topic)

Your Own Internet Business

The advantage of having your own internet business is that you can do it part time and from anywhere until you get on your feet. Most people have an hour a day to build contacts or post to a blog. Through the years you will build on static and dynamic content as well as professoinal relationships. The internet is a residual place where automated advertiser sign up or ad companies like google adsense give people the ability to make money even when not working which is the whole point of the online business. Personal branding and social media are also huge. Bring yourself to the table and sell your services, because everyone else is doing it. And finally the ability for you to promote your stuff in a residual way will make life much easier. So why do almost all internet businesses fail within the first hour? They do not work because people do not use all of these wonderful resources as tools. They are a means to the end and not an ends to the means. The hypertext is you friend and a valuable skill in the promotional funnel. Markets and trends are always where the money is. So you want to start a blog? Write about your favorite type of cars or ice cream. Those are really profitable topics. If you want to sell stuff take you skills to sites like ebay and have at it. Promote your passions, talents or whatever. Use your mind and always be on the lookout for new secret money making strategies.

Profitable Internet Business

There are many paths to online prosperity, but your success depends largely on your mind and how bad you want it. Lets look at some profitable online business models.

1. Social media site owner. In this model a person who can build websites and construct software and programs creates the next Twitter. The site gets buzz and traffic. In the case of My space and Face book the sites are powered by advertisements, charging for internal economy rights like app privileges and pretty much any way the market dictates. Twitter on the other hand arguably the most influential social media property on the net, is still looking for ways to build quality into the monetization. Basically the owner realizes that more good will come his way even if the site eventually goes down, because of his free contribution to the community. (This is the result of an actual market force.) This benefits Twitter in multiple ways, namely that it can choose its own biases. Twitter as a result is free from fickle advertisers and businesses that try to mold the Twitter brand.

2. Social media and blog site user. This model reflects programming your life into the matrix of the web. Sites like the Huffington Post, Perez, Mashable, Tech Crunch fall into this category. Basically they position themselves in the online media and communication frenzy, earn their stripes and rise to the top.

3. The secret marketer. These people exploit the systems with their cash flow secrets. They work behind the scenes, teach people stuff, and even help the big sites do better on the net. They focus on what is hot.

4. Auction expert. These people get and sell products online through sites, stores, and auctions. Doing this requires customer service, and communication skills, but pays well. Reputation is everything here.

5. Entertainers. These are people with YouTube shows or creating entertaining sites like the fail blog or lol cats. This is one of the most profitable online niche.

There are many more paths. Which path are you taking to build your own online prosperity? Do you have any ideas, tricks, tactics, or strategies that I did not mention?

Internet Business Fraud

The FBI has a really good page on Internet business fraud. It outlines the most common causes of fraud and how they happen. Auction credit card issues, fake governmental programs and non delivery of items top the list. Basically you need to be absolutely sure what you are dealing with is reputable. Google is a good place to start typing in the name and putting things like fraud, scam, or sucks after the word. I believe we must spread the word person to person about the scams so we all do not keep falling for the same things. What do you think?

Own Internet Business

Having your own brand and product is everything these days. We all know it is fun to make money with ads. Some people make six or seven figures a month. But in reality imagine if you have a product and other people are out busy promoting you. When you wake up you make a higher percentage than if you did the promotion. Also you do not have to compete in a saturated market as is common in affiliate and online product marketing. Secondly blogs make the most money sell their own line of wares. This has something to do with targeting, trust building, interest building, and sourcing. Thirdly if you have your own business you can focus your energy on development, marketing, and branding. If you are promoting something you are subject to restrictions, copy right, and many other issues from multiple parties. What are you doing to fly your own ship in online business?

New Internet Business

"If I do not push myself than someone else is going to push me"

Most people begin a new internet business with that in mind. Basically it is far easier to work for one self, than for other people given the fact that one knows how to build a home based buisness economy. Unfortunately most home based internet businesses fail because the people do not have a clue and never educate themselves in the countless online resourses and forums. The other reason the businesses fail is that people spend so much time distracted reading fake make money online sites and listening to music that they never just do what it takes. If you sit back and wait to learn without getting your hands wet you will never make it. Keep in mind that your first blogs, ebay shops, video channels or whatever will fail miserably. This is normal. It is important to always ask 'where is the money?' My best adsense niche site for cash made money on the first post. A successful piece of the puzzle works like that. It will create residual and continual results. I can then build on that site into other niches. Some successful and some not. The only stat that I pay attention to is the bottom line in adsense, nothing else matters. The average person may hate the ugly blog, its content, and laugh at its lack of traffic. But if I showed the roi value of the adsense ads they would really start to love the idea. In a similar way people hate my youtube videos but would love them when I showed them my now defunct site that got into the top 100,000 for traffic from it. I am not a genious just into marketing and business. See that is what it is always about. Just picking a thing that you are into then doing the things to make it successful rather than just doing things and camping out until the results will come say 10 years later. Anyone who is online long enough will become moderately successful. The question is do you want to be successful based on other's action or even more successful based on your own action, tactics and business plan. I choose the latter. What do you think?

Building a business online does take a lot of knowlege. Be it on Ebay or youtube the people who do it best have some way of what I would like to call tricking the system. Afterall just a content site with adsense, or just a few videos will almost never cut it. It takes something more like a business, tech, marketing, and branding savvy person to develop the systems of online business success. The principles evolve with the technology. Do You Have A Successful Internet Home Business ?

If the answer is no than here are a few things to keep in mind:

1. Build up contacts, and friends get to know people.

2. Take info from people who readily hand it over to you. If they do not than study marketing to get this to happen.

3. Link up your web properties to increase traffic across them. Then link up to a sales funnel where your properties are the outside of the funnel into the conversion zone be it some product you get a percentage for or whatever.

4. Turn your passions and talents into money. Make a video or 2 million of what you do best. This can get you the much needed eyes, traffic and clicks.

5. Learn about ways to monetize your sites through advertisers, advertisements, and any other way.

6. Constantly self promote yourself and your links across the web. If you want to get famous in a funny YouTube video you made, make ten thousand more videos that hyper link back to this one video in the description. This will build up hits on the one video. You can do the same with blogs or anything else on the web. Use the tools for traffic.

7. Learn how to make things like lead generating and advertising more effective. If most people just passively do these things without the necessary skill they will fail generally because these things on their own are never enough.

8. Personal and niche branding are a very important piece of the pie.

9. Taking the time to always learn and try new things. This means checking out every social media site at least occasionally and spreading out a bit beyond Twitter.

10. Just realizing that most Internet home based businesses fail because most people lack the drive or the knowledge that it is important to do more with the tools than just post a few videos, or blog a bit than quit.

To conclude the tools are out there and are completely free for you to be successful from home. It is just a matter of making sense of it all. Learn from people who are more successful than you. Then learn some more.
