Spotlight On Finances : What Is A Money Market

In this site I live to cover business related topics, but in this post I would like to cover personal finance and investment type of subjects. The spotlight will be on Money Market. A money market type of investment is a low yield, short term deposition of your money, in exchange for easy access to what you make. The relative safety of Money Market accounts was not realized during the 2008 market dive. All investments are high risk gambling because of the inside trading and corruption. I will turn over the opinion game over to you. What are your feelings of the Money Market game? Would you invest again in financial industries and their promises? Do you have any arbitrage tricks that you would like to share with us?

The Media Sells Stuff By Impersonating People

If you look into advertising a powerful tool is taking personalities and giving them to really good actresses and actors. This draws in the audience because of the laws of like attract like. With the net and the proliferation of niches and different new groups of people that hardly existed back in the 90s this becomes increasingly more ambiguous.

What Drives People To What You Are Selling ?

We live in a world bombarded with information from all angles. If you are trying to market something as easily as possible why not market something that moves itself. For example creating a sales funnel to a landing page for a freebie. You may online get a buck but multiply that dollar by a million and you have a million dollars. This is not that unusual in the interwebs to do that. Now imagine a product that fills a need. For example people have medical conditions like back pains. They are more likely to buy your product because they really need a solution fast. That is an artificial demand. Coupled with insurance covering back problem products you are basically marketing a freebie. Lets go even farther to not marketing anything online. This is the new trend of marketers because they can more more mouth to mouth, email to email, phone, to phone when people want it. That way you do not anger the consumer and have the ripple effect of mobs of people spreading the word that you scammed them. Just some thoughts.

Shameless Self Promotion Will Solve All Of Your Problems

Promtion is the currency of sales funnels and brand building. That is why we do youtube and blogs to get eyes on us. Even if it is one or two people, I consider you successful. Here is why. Recently I was watching a multi user youtube channel. In every video descripion was 10 links to every person's social profiles or websites. That is what it is all about. Putting out the lure so people hit it. Then you got them in your webs. The next step is to friend them and build furthur attraction. All that I know is that you do not want to waste all of the traffic you build all around the web. What do you think?

Why I Have No Desire To Make The Next Big Online Video

Recently some person commented on my YouTube video about how to make a viral video. The comment was along the lines of 'do you really think this video would ever go viral?' He made a good point but I never intended it to be the next number one video on YouTube type of experience. Rather I put a hyper link in the description that people would click and check out one of my profiles. The video was nothing more than a self promotional sales funnel. But this video in my mind served a purpose rather than just going viral. I personally have more respect for the people who consistently turn out winners than the one hit wonder in the viral video world. The difference may come down to marketing, content, brand recognition, value, and social media leveraging. See to be truly successful at viral video it is important to approach it with strategy like those trippy sales funnels I always love to talk about. But I personally use video more as a social tool. YouTube has many great people to socialize on. Meeting people is what it is all about, rather than making the next number 1 viral video, unless you desire that!

Is Social Networking A Fad ?

The matrix of people to people communication is not a fad. People will always need to communicate, meet up, touch and talk. But in the scheme of technology and the net much stuff is nothing more than a fad. For example the mobile device I was using in 2007 is a joke by todays standards. So where has it gone? Who knows. If I turn back the clock even farther to my memory in the 90s with huge computers, it makes me wonder about the future of technology in general that what we seen in our windshield never predicts the future. As computing goes into the cloud for instance and open source evolution speeds exponentially. Anyone who does work on the back end of computers, and stuff knows the fast pace that things evolve. Websites for instance a year ago were totally different than they are now. Scobleizer among other online influentials push the matrix in different directions often. Then people working making the stuff that we use evolve and adapt to the trends to make a buck. As a result we have seen many modes of life online rise and fall. Social media has been around for a sizable ammount of time now. I remember when I was a little kid in the 90s everyones parents doing the chat rooms lol. Only the big kids could do that! Well I did it too and it was hilarious and cool. Really the human touch has remained unchanges and now that we are staring down Google wave something similar to chat but just a little better. Could that real time hotness really change the game that much? Really not. New stuff is always exponentially limited until we can cut a few generations and evolve to serve the actual demand versus what a few people want these applications to be. In that sense without getting emersed in technology our perception is exponentially limited to benefit us. But when we dive in we realize what a part of life and 'culture' technology has become. It really controls us in much the same way that television did. We fall into predictable patterns where we get our information and how we think about the world. The crashing of walls among many people who have embraced technology is an exponential benefit. But I do believe that we will hit walls and the hype will fall and so will benefits. All empires fall that is a fact. Even more so technological empires are rare and short lived. If we look at the evolution of technology through time it is non linear. Because of that it is pretty safe to say that we will probably one day loose the net like we did the TV and that even that we may loose and go back to the basics. Looming on the horizon is the use of bots, viruses, and automation in social media to mess with the business as usual. We have alread seen this where an attack put out the networks for a long period of time, effectively destroying my ability to communicate with my Twitter contacts for instance. This in my mind foreshadows what will come. Things will get harder rather than easier. Probably a coupling affect is the apparent fall in social engagement on the major networks. Most marketers would say that this is just the disallusionment curve and that we have nothing to fear. Afterall people who call doom and gloom tend to ring that bell more for recognition if it happens and is not evidence for necessarily. I have other theories that could bring down the social web. 1. The ammount of energy required to run the internet is tremendous. Could this limit the future of that technology. 2. Could the use of robots substitute people very quickly. 3. Other reasons

My bet is with fad. What do you think?

Is Social Networking A Waste Of Time ?

I really wanted to know the anwser to that question tonight. So I plugged similar queries into Google. I read countless articles that did not really answer the question. The major publications tended to say no or yes and just arbitrarily say why. In reality this is a complex question. Social media is a major time waste for people who are not productive on it. Many people for example are on these sites a lot, check their email frequently but overall are anti social. This 'people watcher' category is talked about on many humor sites where a person who has nothing better to do will just browse the profiles of their friends that are by and large static, meaning people have better things to do. So if people are not taking deep meaning out of social media what does it mean? My analogy is how well has playing video games served people? The same concept can be applied to social media where people just use it because just being there makes them feel a little better. If you fall into this catagory now is a time to evaluate your life. Maybe you need to step away from the computer occasionally and into new life experiences, career choices, and try to change the course of your life.

There is a next group of people who are extremely social on the net. They are constantly chatting with friends and use the internet like their telephone system. These people have close friends but tend not to extend out their network beyond who they know. For this group of people using social media is a good use of time if they limit it to interactions with people. But even these people can get drawn into the time and psychological traps positioned all around us. Do we really need to check our phone and computer 20 times an hour? Ok I do it but seriously maybe it is not a good idea.

The third group uses social media to express themselves. Afterall with many laws restricting indivdual liberty and freedom to for example go outside at 3 am many are forced to go online and amuse themselves with creativity. These people paint great pictures, do videos, photographs or anything else to express themselves. These people generally have a small network that they interact with. The social media challenge for this group is learning how to use it as a tool and put their best foot foreward. Social media becomes a problem I believe when people submit something and when they do not get instant gratification like a million hits on youtube, they get sad. If you feel like that than you may need to step away from your computer occasionally.

The fourth group of social media users are people who hate the internet but because of work or school are forced to check frequently for updates. Their use stops at email communication, and they often do not really understand the sites even if they use them occasionally. If you are in this group you should probably use social media a bit more but also set alerts on your computer and phones so you need not always check for email. My phone for instance flashes a red light when something comes in the mailbox. This is really helpful to my professional use of the web and social media.

The fifth group of people are the devote social media junkies. It is their life. Maybe their job. But they grew up on this type of stuff. They have posters with a picture of Mark Zuckerberg and Eric Schmidt shaking hands. These people are experts of every site, have ironic social media names, do live stuff and constantly post viral stuff all of the time. These people reap real benefits from social media but that is also the downfall. Because they get so many benefits they have a hard time quitting. Afterall ever picture that drives 100 k views also brings them some easy money that they can spend on life. Maybe they will buy a better life through blogging or video but they do have to work. Their challenge is that they face an emotional component of literally putting their life on the line. We have seen this in the past with professional bloggers and marketers just quiting overnight because they reached a breaking point. We have also seen many pros develop all types of health problems. In some ways for these people social media may be a poison. I am just saying.

The sixth group of couse is the most level headed bunch out of all of them. These are the business and marketing orientated people. Besides the fact that I fit into this category and the site is about that I see a great deal of moderation from this group. Entrepreneurs realize time is money and if social media is not giving them money they do take time off. Entrepreneurs also realize the long term growth effects of online residual traffic and are not afraid to plan victory decades down the line of consistent high quality work while everyone else spins their wheel and quits in a few months. These people can fall into the claws of social media and are especially keen to time and money being wasted so too much social media could have a psychological impact on them.

Many other types of people exist out there in how they use social media, and whether they should continue to use it extensively. What category do you fit into? Do you think social media is a waste of time? Or is social media a blessing for all of us?

A Competitive Shift In Business

Recently a protest of an unstated health food grocery store, whittled down its reputation in a way that we have rarely seen in the history of business. The shocking part of this story is that the issue was brought forth on social media. The Internet is more powerful than individuals once were. If you get enough friends you are like the master of your domain, or sub domain. Really but this can come back to us if we are for instance the herein company. Or can it? I suspect my reputation for instance is more fractional. More succinctly the people that like me do and those that do not have their own entitlements I guess. But at the end of the day I wonder if what happened with the grocery story could happen to an online personal brand. I would say probably not. People always have redemption, and online sales are not related to being social in the case of a true expert SEO. What do you think?

Where Is Your Social Proof Going To Come From ?

Proving that you are important online can help solidify your brand. Fortunately there is an infinite amount of ways to solidify social proof. My favorite one is blogs. Why? Because search engines like words and content in the blogs. Blogs help promote things and transfer social proof better than any other medium. The second best way of producing social proof online is through multimedia like pictures and videos. Many communities do this and even just a few silly pictures with you are your friends will work miracles. Many other vehicles of social proof exist. Find them and use them.

Because social proof can be a bit of a numbers game it is important to remember concepts like sales funnels, personal branding, and marketing.

The 5 Pillars Of Internet Business Revisited Part 2

I believe I made a similar post earlier but I wanted to revisit this post for a variety of reasons. First some people were confused to the context of things like pay per click fit into the scheme. First off pay per click is one of the most recession proof marketing tools available. If you do not believe me try making a blog on a high traffic subject. Wait a few weeks and tell me how much you made. There is always a hot ppc market no matter where the economy is going. Just using market, and keyword discovery tools. :-) Secondly to really understand how online business works, without the pieces is like trying to build a Lego car without the instructions. Everything becomes very confusing fast. So here is the list:

1. The Attack - Business goes on the offense through marketing. How can anyone sell something seems to be the main currency of money making. Everything else is more administrative.

2. Keeping The World From Falling Apart - This is the business administration side of things. Book keeping, paper work, accounting, team work, leadership, and making the parts work well is fundamental to keeping the machine humming.

3. A Good Defense - Reputation protection is key in online business. If something is not good, the word spreads in a second then we have a problem. Right?

4. Tying Together the Web Properties - Many online businesses operate exclusively on free social media and free blogging services because there is no true need to really push the envelope on all of this already free publicity. But people need a road map so they can count themselves a happy conversion. If you have roads between your properties, and viral sales funnels you have done half of the battle.

5. The Next Generation - Any successful online business is a work in progress. No one tool is the cure for the common need for cash. Keep moving or the world will literally leave you stuck on a sand bar.

These are some of my components that make for a successful online business. What are some of yours?

Twit Cam

I have long said that live chat is the future of the web. And with Twitter being so big at the moment, it is very important to capitalize on the viral 3rd party Twitter sites to jack up the number of followers which is everything they say. Twit Cam is part of the Twitter content viral revolution. People can live chat on Twit Cam. Then after they finish they can leave the video up for the viral residual traffic. Viral content is absolutely critical to online success. Try dropping a promotional link in the description of your Twit Cam video to increase the power of that sales funnel that you are trying so hard to develop. Thanks for reading.

What Gets You Fired Up

The mind is a complex device with more twists and turns than any fairy tale. But there are specific triggers that can drive people to be more motivated, productive and generally feel good about themselves. For some people it may be a song, for others it may be taking a walk. Whatever the case may be, it is very important if we want to succeed in online home based businesses that we are always finding things that keep us going. For blogging as an example people are generally more successful if they keep up a site about their passions rather than just a dull made to make money site. One of the greatest skills I believe is to know when not to work. If you take a day off for instance will your brand really be destroyed? That is the beauty of online business that even if you have to support customers, you can always have someone sit in and do the work for you. This person may be someone that you have never even physically met!

A common goal should be productivity with no price to the self. This means being productive but prioritizing things that are important. If you for example believe that you are wasting you life leaving comments all over the net for in bounding links, you probably are.

People often get caught up in the up to the minute aspects of the internet and forget about quality which can not be manufactured. Quality is taking the time especially when communicating with people. Really getting to know folks better than most people do. Doing this is effectively getting the edge online even if you only use it once a week.

What Is In A Second Chance ?

All people seem to fail. But how we deal with it often determines our ultimate life path. Decay is a sorting process. For example a failed musician might be motivated to go back to school, to ultimately work a regular job, and have an ordinary life. Equally someone out of a job now in this economy might consider getting into an entrepreneur job like real estate short sale. Mistakes and failure can often propel us to the next level. There is always a take away from people and experiences that is more valuable than any book. A neighbor of mine for instance remarked that school and jobs often were a waste of life. I believe there is wisdom in simple common sense thoughts like that. Often we are stuck in processes like going to school or grinding out a job that exploits us. We often loose sight of simple priorities and simple truths. Some people for instance are so wrapped up in their family that they do not realize the opportunities that will come to them if they go out on their own. Other people often realize the basic truth that there is really just a bunch of bad advice out there designed to propel people as consumers rather than producers and sellers which ultimately produces the money. I believe it is extremely important for people to take an honest look at their personal economics. I am not talking about what you could be earning in ten years with that raise, or your dot com blog sells for millions. Rather what is happening with your money today. Are you making enough to pay bills? Are you dependent on others? Are you in debt? Often simple solutions can solve major personal finance problems very quickly. For example moving money from education to real estate, stocks, and other high yield business ventures is never a bad thing to try. So too is blogging on your passion. Many people have talked about that and it is a dead topic. The reason is that the most profitable blogs are few and far between. The people who really make a lot of money off of the net use blogs as a tool rather than an ends. And hence my made for AdSense revenue streams. I for instance went on vacation. The economy was tanking but I came back and realized a blog had paid for the money I spent. Cool right? That is what an entrepreneur is all about. Honestly I have seen the houses of kings but I am never impressed. But when I think of my personal finance and learn the knowledge and skills to control it, I develop a level of empowerment. Now I can go camping and drive in some money through some viral mobile videos. That is why I like the Internet. It connects people and I can roam much of the country and still get it. Any city in my country is game, and anywhere with a signal is mobile and connect card game. For the people who have access to the Internet, are very blessed. If you do take advantage of it. Make that money rain.

Making Things Happen

Generally to be successful in life things must develop. They do not happen in a day. They also might take some vision, which refers to the general law of impracticality. Basically anything worth having in life is impractical to get to. Most people actually could for example travel around the world on foot but do they do it? Some people on the other hand consistently choose to inspire. Their goals are not always rooted in blind capitalism. But rather they make a choice to be different and help others. I believe the quickest way to get the ball rolling is to put it in your court. Than the things you want will come to you rather than leave you. Life is a series of let downs, and it hits people. But some people just choose to get angry and on with things. Some people choose greatness, great schools and paths of life. While others wallow in the webs spun by others. Chasing an ordinary and mediocre life. I do not want to sugar coat that simple point. If we are to be successful it is important to call things as they are and move on. Some of the biggest obstacles to success exist of the mind reacting to influences like parents, friends, and society. Pipe dreams are still dreams. We really do not have much time. I am convinced of that, but wasting a lot of time should not be something that people do who want to be successful. It is all about movement to new places, people, and things. Seeking out a real journey towards things of significance. For some people significance is found in gold, others it is just energy. One of the most important times in the life of any successful person is when they fail miserably, and the wheels have completely halted. The world gets dark. And everything is wrong. This defining moment happens in every single person who has wanted something better in their life. It is perhaps what drove million miles of journey, and long nights of philosophical deliberation. Some of the most disturbing thoughts that people have include some of the realities of life. That it is short, that it is mostly about petty things, and that it only has meaning if we assign it meaning. But I also believe there is a lot of fake meaning floating around out there. Many people are positioned to mess with the minds of others for the sole purpose that they can. These people are to be avoided. And sometimes it is not so obvious. People often become numbed into following instead of leading. Instead of making their own stuff they follow others thinking it is the answer. When the real answer to our lives is in our footprint, in what we do, and the journey that by design is developing us into what we want to become. The outcome in my mind is obvious. We must strive to be inspirational. To do this we must be wholly above the influence and not swayed by the pliers of society to do what they want. We must move fast and efficiently like a cheetah. Good will come if we make it happen and not sit back and expect friends or money to come to us. I honestly believed as a kid stuff like that would just precipitate. It tends to get worse rather than better. Instead it is important to take initiative and go out there. Fail day to day trying to contact people face to face for friendship. If we want love to ask for it. And if we want to inspire to ask for that too, because none of that will come. According to the laws of attraction there is an action component that is extremely essential that few people talk about. In order to attract abundance we must go and lasso it in.

Product Placement Sucks, Unless I Do It And Make Mad Cash

This may be the most random blog post ever. Maybe not. Recently I was watching a video on YouTube with a favorite sports celeb. I noticed something very interesting. The ads were generic. I realized the sport did not relate well to video advertising. The market was not big enough for a direct targeted ad. So how much money was made? I think we can all agree that the header on the front page of YouTube takes some bucks. And generic advertising does not pay well per person. The assumption is that the add attracted the volume necessary. It was a real blow out. I must admit I liked what I saw. The video was unsubstantial but funny and perhaps what I needed at the moment. The marketing lesson is that a fairly funny video with a celeb will do well in generic advertising. The other lesson is that I fell for it but at least I know it did. If you want to get to know marketing, study how stuff is marketed all around you. That is all I have to say. I won't be pushing too many products on you lol.

Why I Believe Internet Marketing Is Not Really Legit

Exploiting markets is ultimately how people make money. Marketing is a currency of our society. Look at real estate investors ultimately they find markets, then later have to market stuff. On the Internet the same rules apply. If you want to make money the easy way the most important thing is to read the markets and understand the market forces. But when people market the profession of online marketing they miss the whole point that marketing is about selling stuff, and making money rather than creating some program that is a secret and should be passed on to the next person. These pyramid schemes are the perfect storm for the person who invented them but for the people who promote them they are less than optimal. When marketers brag about how well they do the context is always to sell a product. They need social media and helpers to create artificial demand. What I am saying is if you want to do well go beyond those pictures of raining money and find actual markets. And do something that could make you a revenue. I am just saying.

Why Are There More Internet Millionaires Than Physically Possible ?

I do not want to take away the whole fact that money can be made online but many people claim to be a millionaire. In reality most millionaires, and people with money systems would not be posting content, and selling things on how to do it. The reason comes down to competition. Also if people are rich why work right?

At the same time someone new to online marketing might be easily fooled by these scams. The biggest joke is that the real markets online are in actual products like selling golf clubs for instance. Like a niche blog about light bulbs will probably make more in AdSense than even the best make money online site on earth. The gurus that do sell off of those sites often do products not related to the mmo industry because unless you can really leverage something the market is just not that strong. Do the research. My best money sites are on market topics like diet and exercise, products, and other related things that do well with affiliate marketing and AdSense. I could see a really good marketer making a million hitting some hot markets but to do so would really take something special.

So why would I or anyone want to make a mmo site? The simple answer is brand building. If you know something about making money online, why not honestly help people, and build your social capital along the way. This will improve your life, etc.

Social Media Makes It Easier For People To Find Others Of Like Interests

In social media active users for instance will not think twice about following someone on Twitter. You may familiarize yourself with them. Communicate. Read their blog. Then you may choose to take it to a different format like chat. People finding us, is often more powerful than us finding people. Why? Because we are not limited by our actions. We are already familiar with the results of what we do. But when other people produce a result we are often enlightened. I am interested in real estate. So some times, someone who is big into the real estate world, with a great blog, will stop by. Thus the burden of discovery, which was traditionally hard work, is lifted off of my chest. Let us remember the limitations of auto discovery, being the fact that we look for things, that we already know much information about. In this way social media reprograms how we get, use, and process information. Much of this info was once sold, is now commons and attributed to its author in real time. This further tailors out judgment, to feel out the motives, of any particular thing. Often I will mail people stuff and ask them what they think. This further improves my interpretation of the information. Why? Because I know for a fact that my friends do not work for the company that may put fake reviews on the net.

Say What You Want To Say : Be Controversial, Interesting, And Inspirational On Your Blog

As a marketer one of the most powerful blogging tools is being creative in your subject matter. Often people fail to express the real points that they were trying to make. I do not know if people get caught up in key word analysis, link bait magic work, or just the day to day of having to do something in the world of blogs, and the Internet. Many marketers refer to the ability to effectively communicate in writing as copy blogging. At the core of communication and meaning is the art of effectively communicating within the ambiguity of language. The word business for instance is very general and has the connotations of some person with a blue suit on. The word entrepreneur has a connotation of a person working from home on some small scale money making project. And finally a marketer has the connotation of a person who works for a company trying to devise ways to more effectively sell things. In reality we can pick apart these words to mean many things. Details, adjectives, and verbs often build up ideas. I would have a better time writing a specific article than something more general. Our minds often want to say things, that in reality we are unsure of writing. Many times these can become our most viral articles. For instance the classic 'How To Make Your Business Fail' type of title is exceptionally powerful in the viral world. Or make it more specific like 'XYZ Is The Reason That All Blogs Fail.' Like a really defined song where a singer need not really try, a very explicit and negative perched title is slightly tainted or controversial. These types of things do best because the force the reader to think. The Internet is full with mindless stuff that pretends to be interesting. Your obligation to pull in the reader is essentially your best article marketing currency. Why are you interesting? What ideas do you have that interest people and garnish a reaction?

Twitter Reputation Is Built Offline Mouth To Mouth

To calculate how strong your network on Twitter it, it is important to consider what people are saying about you to their friends. This can not be calculated except through inference, and speculation. But at the same time if you have 100 thousand Twitter followers and you blog does not really go viral than honestly you do have a problem. A great solution is to direct message people who follow you and engage them so they remember you even after they unfollow.

Psychological Warfare In The World Of Business And Marketing

Often times things are easier than we think. Choosing the right topic for a blog is the difference between working a little and making a lot of money, and working a lot and making little money. Marketers are in a constant battle for limited resources. But at the end of the day, it is what we think and know that guide us through. For instance words like branding, sales funnels, seo, sem, AdSense marketing, eBay marketing etc never get old. When you find a pillar invest your time to learn it better and ultimately succeed at it. The whole purpose marketing and business were invented in the first place was to challenge people to overcome obstacles, and achieve goals. Team work and riding solo are equally important as is a solid foundation.

No One Can Compete With Success

The game of social media has destroyed barriers of entry into media success. As a result anyone who with the right tools, and worth ethic can be extremely successful. Most people who operate social media, do so with no intention of being successful. Some of these people do well. Others enter it with fervor but burn out quickly. These people leave the net littered with what I call half sites, and dead profiles. Then there is a 3rd group of people who invest steady time into learning the tricks and tools. Over time they build a following and get some blog traffic too. These are the people who reap the rewards of social media whether it be a monthly affiliate check, a book deal, or a higher paying job. I believe you can be in the 3rd sub set if you put your mind to it.

Some of the tools that you need to get to the top are blogging, videos, email, and something to contribute to many of the various communities across the web. Find your passions and develop them.

You will not need a road map. There are signs that will tell you how to succeed. Follow the messaging and you will do well.

The big secret is that the more successful you are online, the less competition you will have. Because of this the top is the best place to be.

Build A Little Social Cred Every Day

There are some people who hit social media and become instantly popular. Whether it be that they just have amazing personalities or bring in success from else where they electrify the scene. Often they know which buttons to press, and the learning process is swift. If you are more like me, social media is a journey. It is something I work on a little every day. I am constantly looking for new sites to interact on. I am constantly trying to meet new people in as many ways as possible. But I have learned that by exposing myself to the social situation I risk my reputation. But on the flip side people often educate me to the most important things I have learned about social media and life.

It is important that we bring our story to the table and celebrate it. People can sense self hatred in social media. The most attractive personalities online are people who are really into their world, what they say, and do.

Once your story is down it is always important to be self reflective and evolve the story with your life. People love profiles that are in a state of flux. People love it when other users are very active and interested in what they do. It is never a waste of time to leave a comment on some one's profile. Simple things like that add up and create ultimately the social capital that drives marketing and business success.

One of the biggest issues that people have told me about has to do with road blocks like their goal was to get a certain amount of friends and they can not seem to get more than a number. This common road block can be removed by figuring out how to remove it.

But in some social media games volume like in the case of Twitter will not get you more followers. You can change your tweets, increase promotion but at the end of the day take your energy to other sites. Social media is extremely transferable as many of the active users, actively exploit many sites. This means I can transfer people I know from Flickr into conversations on the Facebook. If people really realize the infinite potential of how to socialize online, they will become infinitely successful.
