How Can There Really Be Money Online

Believe it or not there is a lot of money to be made online. Many people write about this. The real question is how can we monetize the websites that we have online, how can we make money in advertising, how can we sell stuff online to make a business, and how can we further our understanding of how money is made online. Affiliate advertising for instance has been around for a lot time. Affiliate advertising is incredibly profitable. Many people become discouraged and quickly abandon this affiliate game quickly. I am not sure this is a good idea. On the surface pay per click seems more profitable. But at the end of the day in the long run affiliate advertising makes a lot more money. Besides affiliate advertising and the gold mine that it represents, we also have many people who elect to sell things online. Organized sale or commerce can occur on personal websites, auction websites, as well as many other online venues. Organizing, shipping and promoting a product is time consuming and in some cases takes a great deal of team work and coordination. Commerce has ushered in the innovation of hybrid products such as pay pal that have bridged the gap between traditional commerce and perhaps other non linear scalable revenue models. Many of these traditional money making methods are now being turned on their head. Advertisers are pouring their money into different techniques to drive online sales. Direct advertisements is one of the largest online revenue sectors. Ads in this sector are highly individual and customizable and have more marketing elements than a traditional click me I am an ad model. This is good and this is bad. Because the user wants free stuff and the publisher wants money in some ways both win and in other ways both loose.
